The Holiday Shoppe at The Old Red Porch

It all happened so fast.  One day I was tending my little shop, The Well Seasoned Nest, and before I knew it, I was packing boxes and moving to a new venue.  Sometimes, a situation just presents itself and makes total sense.  So you go for it.  And I did...

The culmination - a blending of two shops in a warehouse space that has an old red porch.  All moved in, but not at all settled in yet.  And, all of a sudden, the holiday season here ... and now.  Yikes!!! What's a gal to do???  Open the doors and greet customers.  And so we will.  Save the settling in for the dreary days of January, and set up " The Holiday Shoppe ".

Because so many have asked (and been so patient, thank you, thank you!) here's the plan, as we've formulated it so far.  Open 6 - 8 or 10 times a year, for an extended weekend (Thursday through Sunday), with each sale being different, perhaps a theme now and again.  In between sales, open by chance or appointment, while we junk around and set up for the next sale.  We have great parking, a easy to reach location, and a facility with terrific potential.

For the 2013 holiday season, we'll run two sales, December 5 - 8, and December 19 - 22, for the following hours:  Thursday and Friday from 4 - 7 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 12  - 5 PM.

Initially, we will open only a portion of the space ( where there aren't boxes and mayhem abounding :/ ).   And as we sort and settle, we'll open more and more of the space.

So, this Thursday, we will OPEN at 4 PM at the new location:  280 Racebrook Road, in Orange, right off the Boston Post Road, right behind the Chase Bank.  You'll see a sign for Racebrook Business Park - enter the driveway and drive to the end - right to The Old Red Porch.

Expect holiday finery, one of a kind decor accents and furnishings, and revamped upscale vintage.  Great gift giving items, too.  There's a lot to see, so plan to visit awhile.  Bring a friend or two or three! We'll put on some hot mulled cider, and chat awhile.  Spread some holiday joy and catch up a bit.  I look forward to seeing you!  If you can't make it Thursday, there will still be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!  Oh, happy day....
